The production of textiles using traditional methods is increasingly under threat. China, with its vast economic influence in Africa, is now mass-producing and directly supplying most of the fabrics and designs we think of as quintessentially African. The loss of valuable artisanal skills and growing unemployment now threaten these struggling West African countries. In partnership with local Nigerian producers, Royal Hut is trying to make a difference.We are working to meet a very real international demand for these high quality, traditionally produced African fabrics.
